Instruction Sheet For P/N 200-72819:
5.0 Liter Ford Trigger Wheel Package
For most 5.0L/351W 4-Bolt Damper Applications

This Trigger Wheel Package is designed for Small Block Fords
utilizing a 4-bolt style harmonic damper.

Parts List:
1 7-1/4” Trigger Wheel Q’ty: 1 PN: 220-72829
2 Magnetic Sensor Bracket Q’ty: 1 PN: 210-72711
3 10-32 x 3/16” Set Screw Q’ty: 1

Directions:

1. Remove the pulley from the crankshaft damper.
2. Turn the engine to Top Dead Center (TDC) for the #1 cylinder. The more accurate you are with obtaining TDC, the more accurate your timing settings will be.
3. Install the magnetic sensor bracket using the two lower bolts of the water pump housing toward the passenger side of the vehicle.
4. Place the magnetic sensor in the bracket, but do not tighten the setscrew.
5. Place the trigger wheel on the damper such that the trailing edge of the 11th tooth after the gap is aligned with the center of the magnetic sensor. Since the engine spins clockwise when viewed from the front, the trailing edge is located counter-clockwise from the leading edge.
6. It should be known that if the trigger wheel is installed in this manner, the accessories would need to be shimmed out by 1/8" (the thickness of the trigger wheel). To get around this, the damper can have 1/8" machined off the front surface. This is a simple procedure for any machine shop.
7. Install the pulleys over the trigger wheel. It is not necessary to use longer bolts.
8. Adjust the air gap between the trigger wheel and the magnetic sensor to be 0.050". This is best done with a feeler gauge.
9. Tighten the setscrew (#3) on the magnetic sensor bracket. It is advisable to use a low-strength threadlocker on the setscrew.

Following successful installation of the Small Block Trigger Wheel Package, you will have an ultra-high resolution crank sensor signal going into the Electromotive computer on your vehicle. Should you need any technical support in your installation, please feel free to contact us.
